On March 8, 2013, A Piece Of Orpheus performed at the Muziekhuis Leiden. The band was founded in mid-2008 after a restart between Joop and René, it turned out that they had a shared passion for making their own rock songs with a strong bite. In a short time, three musicians were found together and thus A Piece of Orpheus was born.
In 2009, when the band had only existed for six months, Monsterpop was won. And with the prize money a start was made on releasing the CD \’Remains of a Masterpiece\‘ (2010).
